What’s New with Dynamics NAV: 365 Business Central

Finally! The much anticipated release of the SaaS version of Dynamics NAV now named Dynamics 365 Business Central will be available April 2, 2018. We are very excited by this release since we have a large NAV customer base and we are also a CSP or Cloud Service Provider. This means that Clients First can sell you Business Central or the Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition. Both solutions are great for finance, distribution and manufacturing, but as you can imagine Dynamics 365 Enterprise is for companies that have a larger employee count, and most importantly complex business requirements. Dynamics 365 for Financials Has A New Name

Microsoft has replaced this solution with Dynamics NAV with a new user interface written in HTML 5. The new name is now Dynamics 365 Business Central and is released on April 2, 2018. Dynamics 365 for Financials Functionality

Overdue Announcement Made: Dynamics 365 for Financials will have the full functionality of Dynamics NAV

Updated 05/25/2017: If you have been a follower of our blogs about Dynamics NAV, then you will have noticed our almost year long silence about the software. Clients First Texas specializes in helping manufacturers, MRO’s and Service Companies with ERP software. Because Dynamics 365 for financials only contained a subset of Dynamics NAV functionality, we did not think that Dynamics for Financials would be a good fit for our clientele. Our stance on this has changed as Dynamics 365 for Financials will have “full NAV” functionality by the end of the year. At Directions Asia held in March 2017, Microsoft announced that Dynamics 365 for Financials will have the same code base, and be the same product but will be offered in a SaaS model. Kirill Rudnev, Microsoft’s Head of Sales ＆ Marketing Department, announced this transition will be complete on Oct 1, 2017. Read more
