Clients First Top 100 ERP VAR

Bob Scott’s anticipated Top 100 VAR list for 2018 has been released, and Clients First Business Solutions is on the list of the top Acumatica VARs.  Clients First is typically in the top 25 every year for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics AX, Dynamics Business Central, Epicor, and SAP B1.

Clients First is pleased to be on the Bob Scott’s top 100 VAR list again.  We are ranked at number 23 which means we are big enough to handle any small to medium sized project with a staff of 99, but we are small enough to care about our customers.  Our strength is in our expertise in Manufacturing, Job Shops, MRO, and Wholesale Distribution.  Focusing on limited industries ensures our team has a limited focus and expertise. Freight Auditing for Pacejet

Pacejet continues to improve their shipping solution and the latest helps find incorrect billing which saves you money and saves time for invoice auditing: Freight Auditing.  Just drag and drop invoices into the module, choose the map and click import, run then compare shipping charges you expected, then the carrier invoice charge.   You can also set parameters to only view price deltas in such as rate discrepancies that are not in your favor.  I had no idea that carriers can charge you for address changes.  Pacejet’s shipping solution has that issue covered with an Address Validation feature.   Read more

SAP Anywhere Customers Replace with Acumatica or Dynamics

SAP Anywhere did not go far.  In a prepared statement, a SAP representative said  it evaluates its current solution portfolio from time to time and makes changes based on its overall cloud ERP strategy.  “As such, we have decided to sunset the SAP Anywhere solution,” said SAP. “We will be working closely with our customers to help them transition off the product and to find a new SAP solution that best fits their needs.” Read more

What do Manufacturers look for in an ERP

Whitepaper: What Do Manufacturers Look for in ERP Software?

Choosing new manufacturing ERP software that includes great general ledger, accounts payable, cash management, etc., is fairly easy. Decision makers should look for features like easy inter-company transactions perhaps for a complicated process, great reporting and drill-down capabilities. The manufacturer has a much greater challenge. In the last 20 years I have been selling manufacturing solutions and nine times out of ten, the business leaders are not concerned with how the GL or any of the financial modules work. They ask if the software has financial modules and do they work. Often our demonstrations end with financials, or we schedule them for another day, since really what the prospect wants to see is how the software will handle their manufacturing operations.

I came across this whitepaper by Nick Castellina, the VP and Research Group Director at the Aberdeen Group and thought I would share some of the results of a survey focused on manufacturing leaders: What do Manufacturers Look For in an ERP Solution? I have been following Nick’s work for a long time. He provides insightful information for the manufacturing and distribution industries. Read more

ERP Predictions for 2017

Another Christmas has come and gone, which means it’s time to bring in the new year! The mark of a new year is always an exciting time of hope and anticipation for what the new year will bring. Like every year Nucleus has released what it anticipates for the next year in the technology world. Read this article to learn about some of those predictions.

  1. 1. The End of On-Premise Security Superiority

You read right, Nucleus predicts that cloud security naysayers will disappear in 2017. This may sound a little far-fetched at first, but when you consider the fact that 2016 has been a big year for cloud computing you will understand why. One of those reasons 2016 was the year for cloud computing is that it has been a turnaround year for many consumer’s perceptions of the cloud’s safety and privacy. A prime example of this is how a top tier business software company, Microsoft, came out with a new, completely cloud-based solution, Dynamics 365.  And as such is poised to be one of the first tech companies to reach 1 trillion in market capitalization.
